How the War Ended
The end of the war began with the Allied Powers pushing into the German border on October 17th, 1918. By the end of October, there was
an armistice (a cease fire that was used until formal treaties were created) signed by Turkey and Austria-Hungary. Germany had also signed this later, on November 11th after they had faced rebellions and overpowering their own government.
During the Paris Peace Conference, the countries that showed up were the United States, France, Great Britain, and Italy. All of these countries
desired Germany to pay for the war costs but Germany didn’t agree. The other countries also wanted independence of separate countries and racial equality.
